Period Play

The Play

Created in collaboration with an ensemble of feminists and a resident playwright, Period Play is a staged reading featuring historical women navigating the modern day patriarchy.

This performance was presented by Philadelphia Women's Theatre Festival in recognition of International Women's Day 2017.

My Work

The basis of this devised work questioned how historical women would deal with modern day problems. My work consisted of researching famous historical feminist figures, and creating detailed profiles of each to include in a packet as a reference for the collaborators, while we decided the role they would each play in this piece.
